Dear Orphans Aid Society,
I read of your organization in The Ukrainian weekly, and I would like to sponsor six children. I had the privilege of visiting Ukraine for the first time last year, and I saw firsthand the poverty and harsh existence of so many children.
They broke my heart, and ever since I came back, I have been searching for an organization that helps these kids. Yours is the only one that I have been able to find.
Unfortunately, the relief organizations that I found deal mainly with Third World children, and do very little or nothing with Eastern European kids. I have been praying for a way to help Ukrainian children, and I firmly believe God has led me to you.
I am enclosing a check for $90 to start off my monthly donations for six children.
